Facebook Party Seeking Vampire Authors

26 Aug

Amaranthine by Joleene Naylor

3dbannerYou might have seen mentions of the week long Amaranthine Facebook party coming to a device near you October 11th – 17th, 2015. Each day will have a theme, with Thursday the 15th being a “Featured Author Day” where I’d like to feature fellow paranormal authors. If you – or someone you know – would be interested, then please read on:

How it Works:

If you’re not familiar with the term facebook party, it is essentially an online “gathering” – guests don’t need to be online for the whole duration, or even necessarily at a set time. They can “check in” as often as they like and participate in games, discussions, and chances for prizes. For instance on Day 1 I will post a thread asking guests to name an interesting fact about themselves – it can be anything – and encourage them to reply to one another’s comments. This…

550 Atari 2600 Games! Online! For Free!

12 Aug

Eric Robert Nolan, Author

Now here is a gem, courtesy of my boy Frank — Virtual Atari, where you can play (most of) your 80’s favorites right online, using your keyboard!

The games available number at 550, and that’s pretty damned impressive, if you ask me.  There are so many that the list includes even the most questionably inspired games.  We’ve got “cartridges” for games like “Crazy Valet,” “Save the Whales” and the truly befuddling unauthorized German game, “Snail Against Squirrel.”  (Do such melees occur in real life?  I can only imagine that they would play out rather quickly.)

It’s Sunday!!  Have fun!!

Enter for a Chance at an Autographed Paperback

12 Aug

Amaranthine by Joleene Naylor

How would you like to win an autographed paperback? Even better, how would you like to choose WHICH paperback you win – including the Collector’s Editions and the brand new Amaranthine Files handbook? To enter all you need is a facebook account and five minutes.

As I mentioned previously, I’m hosting a Halloween party in October on Facebook. An important part of any facebook event is the banner (or cover) at the top of the page:

The one I have set now is pretty boring, and I *know* you can come up with a better one! In fact, I’m counting on it.

How To Make A Cover Image:

You can use any image editing program you want (paintbrush, GIMP, Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, you name it) OR you can use an online cover creator. I’ve found a few that are not only FREE but also have lots of clipart and…

The Chase Is On

11 Aug

Secret Diary Of PorterGirl

Before I can vocalise the stream of four-letter words that are forming with some vigor in my head, Professor Duke is already heading for the door with alarming alacrity. The Dean looks fit to burst with rage and confusion.

“Get after him!” he bellows, quite unnecessarily.

I join the Professor in sprinting down the staircase and out into Apple Tree Court below, a large portion of which is currently a perilous-looking excavation site. Junior Bursar is surprisingly sprightly for a man of such advanced years and is already within reach of the far cloister.

“Stop!” cries the Professor. “Stop in the name of…the Professor!”

Junior Bursar throws us a vicious glare from over his shoulder and redoubles his efforts. We make after him, giving the gaping archaeological crevasse a wide berth. I glimpse, briefly, a clutch of vaguely attentive wedding guests perusing the hole with some interest. They glance briefly in our…
